Description:
Whitefish, Mont. - Join Whitefish Legacy Partners on a Snow Science guided hike on Sunday January 22nd, 2017 at 2:00-4:00 pm at the Lion Mountain Trailhead, 2.2 miles west of Whitefish.

Join Whitefish Trail Education Specialist, Kim Corette, and local snow professionals for a guided walk at Lion Mountain. Learn the basics of avalanche safety & practice your skills with a beacon hunt, understand snow metamorphosis and changes in the snowpack, and be introduced to snow survey data collection techniques and applications.
