In this 3-day workshop students will explore and redefine the ancient arts of gilding and illumination. Students will experiment with mark making, signs and symbols, designing borders as well as finding ways to simplify and stylize animal forms. They will then create their own iconic images of Western wildlife by painting with metallic and interference acrylic paints. Incorporation of gold leaf and other metallic materials will make it a mixed media project.
Cost for 3 session workshop: $85 + $15 materials fee (to cover all class supplies); Class is limited to 8 students (Members receive 10% discount)
