MEDITATION EVENTS OFFERED AT FVCC
The Multicultural Affairs Office at Flathead Valley Community College will hold two community events focused around meditation on April 17.
FVCC students and community members are invited to attend a meditation session at 3 p.m. Lead by Gina Garlie from The Open Sky Sangha, the session is designed to improve focus, concentration and overall good health.
Later that evening at 6 p.m., the film "Questions from the Heart" will be presented. This documentary tells the story of five young adults presenting questions concerning grief, social technology and happiness before Thich Nhat Hanh, Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk, teacher, author, poet and peace activist. A group discussion will follow the film.
Free and open to the public, both events will take place in the large community meeting room inside the Arts and Technology building on campus. For more information, contact FVCC Multicultural Affairs Coordinator Mick Stemborski at 756-3945 or mstembor@fvcc.edu.
