Free admission; but we appreciate donations for the use of Clementine’s for the evening. Coffee & tea provided; Desserts, wine and beer available for purchase.
Jeffrey Funk is an expert at repurposing, and will present on adapting or building machines to be driven by pedal power. For example, he built the apple grinder for the Tamarack Time! community cider press, from found and scrap materials.
He will present a bit of the history of human-powered machines with emphasis on simple-to-build pedal-powered devices for home use. Included will be demonstration of: a recumbent pedal-powered grain mill; and a pedal-powered machine for making musical instrument strings.
