Buy blooms to support budding musicians at Glacier Symphony and Chorale's 25th annual geranium sale

An opportunity to buy blooms to support budding musicians while bringing some colorful flowers for your deck or garden is the goal of the League of Glacier Symphony and Chorale as they launch their 25th annual geranium sale. Proceeds from the sale fund the GSC's education program that includes the Wild About Music concerts, a program called "A visit from the Symphony" and the annual GSC youth scholarship program.

Orders are now being taken for the colorful pots of geraniums that have been cultivated for the Flathead valley's somewhat fickle climate. The plants were started in the greenhouses of Kalispell's Plant Land and will produce blooms from early spring through fall. A new addition to the flower selection this year will be pots of colorful mixed annuals to complement the geraniums. The six-inch pots are priced at $9 of which $3.50 is a tax deductible donation to the GSC. Orders are taken in advance of pick up which will be held on May 16-17 and 23-24 from 10 am to 3 pm at Plant Land. Additional plants can be purchased on the day of pick up. Plant Land is also hosting a Ladies Night Out to support the League Geranium sale. The "Evening of Gardening Pleasures" event will be held on Thursday, April 24 from 4-7 pm at Plant Land. Guests will have an exclusive first look at the latest garden accessories and new plants for 2014. Hors d'oeuvres and wine will be served and gift bags will be given to the first 50 guests. Cost to attend is $20 per person through April 14 and $30 after April 14. The event is open to all and will be held at the Plant Land store, located at 1008 US Hwy 2 East in Kalispell.
