BEAUTY OF BIRDS CLASSES COMING IN APRIL

Spring is one of the most exciting times of year for birders and those interested in birds. Sign up for spring birding fun in Flathead Audubon's Beauty of Birds classes. Beauty of Birds classes will be held Wednesday evenings on April 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flathead High School.

2014 instructors and topics scheduled are:

April 9 – Lisa Bate of Glacier National Park will talk about cavity nesters of northwest Montana.

April 16 – Doug MacCarter of Wild Wings Recovery will bring live owls and hawks for a fascinating talk about raptors of northwest Montana.

April 23 – An intensive class in bird identification and local birding resources will be presented.

April 30 – The last class will be a field trip to a local birding hotspot to apply skills gained in prior classes.
