Featured speaker E.B. "Doc" Eiselein will present the talk "The Origins of Religion" at the Flathead Area Secular Humanist Association's third-annual National Day of Reason celebration.
The event will be free and open to the public. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.; the program will begin at 6 p.m. Bringing a finger-food potluck dish is optional; there will be a cash bar.
Eislein is a prolific contributor to Daily Kos (under the pen name of Ojibwa) on a wide variety of subjects. In February he conducted programs about human evolution/anthropology, ancient Scotland and religion at Flathead Valley Community College. He is the author of two books: "A Very Short Introduction to the Origins of Language and Religion" and "The Origins of Language and Religion."
