Bibler Home and Gardens Spring Weekends Feature Mother's Day Brunch, Tours
Proceeds to benefit FVCC Student Scholarships

The Flathead Valley Community College Foundation has partnered with the Bibler Foundation to present Spring Weekends at the Bibler Home and Gardens. Now in its eleventh year, the partnership provides community members and visitors to the Flathead Valley a rare opportunity to experience an intimate tour of one of Northwest Montana's most treasured gems while supporting student scholarships at FVCC.

The Bibler Home is renowned for its exquisite collection of antiques, sculptures and Persian carpets and its vibrant gardens, comprised of tens of thousands of tulips and daffodils accented with ponds, waterfalls, fountains, wooden foot bridges and other calming touches. With the exception of privately arranged tours, the home and gardens are accessible only through the college Foundation tours during select weekends in May and during the last week in July when the gardens' summer flowers are in full bloom.

The Spring Weekends, featuring guided two-hour tours of the Bibler Home and Gardens, are scheduled for May 9 at 11 a.m. and May 16 and 17 at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Tours will include opportunities to address questions to the Bibler's head gardener. Tickets are $15 per adult and $5 per child.

A special Persian Rug tour, presented by Carol Bibler, is scheduled for May 9 at 1:30 p.m. The event will offer Persian rug enthusiasts a chance to view the Bibler Home's extensive tribal rug and weaving collection along with an opportunity to tour the gardens and address questions to the Bibler's head gardener. Tickets are $20 per person. This tour is not recommended for children.

In addition to the tours, The Culinary Institute of Montana at FVCC will present a gourmet Mother's Day Brunch in the Bibler Home May 10 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Patrons will enjoy champagne mimosa with freshly-squeezed orange juice; smoked Idaho trout and Atlantic salmon with freshly-made bagels, cream cheese and chives, capers and local tomatoes; char-grilled tuna and avocado salad with toasted corn vinaigrette; mini-German pancakes with apple-calvados and caramel sauce; strawberries with balsamic vinegar and Galliano; asparagus, prosciutto and spring onion frittata; grilled marinated spring leg of lamb with tabbouleh and minted aioli; FVCC farm-fresh spring salad with Sicilian lemon and white balsamic vinegar; semolina almond torte with creme fraiche ice cream and limoncello figs; and coffee and tea service. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the gardens on their own. Tickets to the brunch are $60 per person or $100 per couple.
