HOCKADAY ANNOUNCES CRITS & CROISSANTS WITH THOMAS G. LEWIS MAY 10

Participants are invited to enjoy coffee & croissants while one piece of their current work is critiqued by a professional artist. Painter Thomas G. Lewis is the May guest artist at the Hockaday for Crits & Croissants: A Saturday Morning Artists' Critique.

The Hockaday Museum of Art's Crits & Croissants forum gives those who create art a chance to have their work reviewed by professionals. Artists 15 years of age and older may bring one or more pieces of their recently created artwork for critique while enjoying coffee and croissants. Participants are invited to join painter Thomas G. Lewis on May 10 from 10:30am - 12pm. This will be the final Crits & Croissants session until the program begins again in September.

Thomas will be addressing shape, color, value, and edges, and identifying those elements in a participant's painting. Mr. Lewis will also be discussing each participant's personal growth as an artist. He will share insights in color temperature, solid design shapes, the critical importance of edges and the world of values, all while making each brushstroke count.

Crits & Croissants - A Saturday Morning Artist's Critique is held every 2nd Saturday of the month, September - May in the Hockaday's classroom, with a $5 participant fee for members, $7 for non-members.

The Hockaday Museum of Art is located in the cultural district of downtown Kalispell at 302 Second Ave East. It is housed in a 1904 Carnegie Library building that appears on the National Register of Historic Places.
