A Timeless Legacy - Women Artists of Glacier National Park is a landmark exhibition that began May 28 and recognizes the early bold, spirited women who overcame the challenges of society, weather and geography to paint in Glacier National Park. The works of contemporary women artists continuing this legacy are displayed alongside paintings of their predecessors, demonstrating the timeless tradition of painting the Park. The show features works by Nellie Knopf, Leah Dewey Lebo, Kathryn Leighton, Elizabeth Lochrie, Lucille Van Slyck, Elsa Jemne and Merle Olson, as well as four women artists working today: Carole Cooke, Kathryn Stats, Linda Tippetts and Rachel Warner. Copies of the A Timeless Legacy - Women Artists of Glacier National Park book and documentary film DVD are available in the Museum's gift shop.

Gentlemen Wear Black is a contemporary exhibition where Arkansas artist Melissa Wilkinson's explores her interest in representing dichotomies. Her paintings are initially conceived of using digital processes and then finished by employing traditional techniques borrowed from the old masters. Wilkinson's romantic process of painting allows her to meditate on issues of gender, identity construction and beauty. For the viewers' contemplation, she presents the obscuring and revealing, attraction and repulsion, good and evil, the past and the present.

Four fully restored Glacier National Park murals remain on display in the Museum. The Crown of the Continent Glacier National Park Gallery is an ongoing display of works from the Museum's permanent collection.

Senior Tour & Tea Day is sponsored by The Daily Inter Lake, Medical Arts Pharmacy and Sykes Pharmacy in Kalispell.
