Landscape and Wildlife Photography Workshop
3:00 PM
Glacier Park
Landscape and Wildlife Photography Workshop Description:
Cost: $425
During our time together we will use photographic techniques to explore Glacier's landscape and inhabitants. Initially, we will spend time in the classroom covering basic terminology and concepts. We will explore lighting, composition, film, depth-of-field, perspective, capturing motion and macro-photography. In addition, we hope to help each student develop their own creative vision. We will travel through the different ecosystems of the park, stopping at sites that provide unique photographic subjects and challenges. We will discuss the ethics of wild land and wildlife photography striving to understand and minimize the impact of our photography. Most of the day will be in the field, but there will also be time for classroom discussion and student critiques. The days will be long, as we strive to capture the day's most dramatic light: dawn to dusk with downtime scheduled in between. The Institute strongly encourages students to share the photos they take on the course with us so we can use them in our publications. Your name will be credited of course!

Note: Three nights of lodging at Field Camp are included in the course fee. If you do not require lodging, the lodging fee of $32/night will be deducted from your course fee when you book over the phone at 406-755-1211.
