BAT WALK

Matt Bell
Bat Specialist with Montana Wild
Matt will present an overview of bats living in Montana. He will discuss bat myths, habits of bats, bat-house construction, and how scientists use acoustic data to identify a bat species. Matt will take us on a "Bat Walk" for a chance to see and hear bats with the use of ultrasound detection devices that enable us to hear the sounds of "echolocation" as bats navigate and forage for insects.
