Geology at Sperry Chalet Description:
Cost: $585

Enjoy this extended weekend trip into the heart of some of Glacier's most beautiful country. The Sperry Basin is a remote portion of Glacier Park that is home to grizzlies, mountain goats, and wolverines. This is one of our most popular courses, so make sure to register early! Sperry Chalet summer beds are highly coveted and sell out months in advance, so this is an opportunity to spend two nights at the famous chalet with great friends and great education. Course participants will have the opportunity to enjoy challenging, yet rewarding day hikes with the added comfort of returning to the historic chalet and the end of each day. There is no more rewarding experience than watching the crimson sun fall behind the mountains from the balcony of the historic chalet after enjoying a three course dinner with old and new friends.

On the first day participants will hike to Sperry Chalet. The second day participants will hike to Sperry Glacier via Comeau Pass and return to Sperry Chalet. Under the guidance of experienced instructor Jeff Kuhn, this course will explore Glacier's intricate and beautiful geology, the impact of climate change within the park, and glacial geology and geomorphology.
