Glacier Park
New Course: People Before the Park Description:
A 2016 National Park Service Centennial Series Course: Yours, Mine, and Ours

Cost: $165

Step out of a world governed by clocks and calendars and into the worldview of the Kootenai people as presented by anthropologist Sally Thompson. In this course, Dr. Thompson brings the history of the park to life through instruction focusing on Kootenai stories and legends, foodways and hunting techniques, games and seasonal travels. Spend the weekend with other lifelong learners as we gain an increased appreciation and understanding of the Kootenai people and how they interacted with the landscapes of the North Fork and the Lake McDonald Valleys.
