Description:
Haunted Montana Program at
Lone Pine State Park
-Saturday, October 4, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM-

Montana State Parks (stateparks.mt.gov) is hosting the Humanities Montana Speakers Bureau Program "Haunted Montana: Where the Ghosts Are!" with Karen Stevens at Lone Pine State Park on Saturday, October 4 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

This presentation is free and open to the public. Partial funding for the Speakers Bureau Program is provided by a legislative grant from Montana's Cultural Trust and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

For more than 30 years retired librarian Karen Stevens has collected ghost stories from all over Montana. Stevens will present a "virtual tour" and discussion of haunted sites that are of historical interest, have recent ghostly activity, and are open to the public. Sites include the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, the Old Montana State Prison, and well-known bars, hotels, restaurants, theaters, and museums. At the conclusion of the program, members of the audience are invited to share their own ghostly encounters.

Stevens grew up in a haunted house and has been fascinated by ghosts ever since. She is an experienced paranormal investigator and is the author of three books, Haunted Montana, More Haunted Montana and the forthcoming Glacier Ghosts, Legends and Mysteries. She lives in Billings.
