The Whitefish Theatre Co. is holding auditions for the Black Curtain Theatre production of Two Rooms on October 13th at the O'Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish. Auditions will be held at 7:00 p.m. Please arrive early to the Green Room to fill out an audition application and review the script.

The two rooms in this taut drama are a windowless cell in Beirut, where educator Michael Wells is being held hostage by terrorists, and his home office in Washington D.C., where his wife Lainie has stripped the room bare as she holds vigil for him. Here Lainie and Michael speak to each other across a void of space and time, using their imaginations to try to figure out what their lives are now, how to live them, and how they got here in the first place. Talkin' Broadway calls Two Rooms "full of words and images that we should all remember now, more than ever."

The cast will be composed of two women and two men, ages 30s to 40s. No experience or preparation is necessary to audition. Pages from the script will be provided. Nancy Nei is the director for this production. As a Black Curtain show, actors will remain on book during performances and there will be minimal costumes and set. Total time commitment for this production is approximately three weeks of rehearsal. Rehearsals will be held 2 to 3 times a week as determined by the director and the chosen cast members. There are two performances over one weekend on November 8 and 9.
