Showcase of the Chefs gourmet dinner, wine tasting and auction will take place at the Lodge at Whitefish Lake on November 7th. The theme for this 10th annual edition of Showcase is "Remembering the 80's". (If you weren't skiing in the 80's, or just can't remember that far back, think: Hot Dog - The Movie)

This year's event will feature the chefs and entrees from Tupelo, Wasabi, Whitefish Lake Restaurant, The Boat Club, Iron Horse, and the Cuisine Machine along with wine pairings by Intermountain Distributors.
"And the auction this year will be bigger and better than ever!" said Tim Hinderman, FVSEF Executive Director. "We're focusing on some one-of-a-kind experience-type items in addition to all the great donated items that we receive from merchants from all over the valley." Hinderman went on to cite a couple examples of these experience items:

A ski weekend at Big Sky Resort including a day of skiing and lunch for 4 people at the Yellowstone Club with extreme skiing legend Scot Schmidt; 2 nights' accommodations for 4 people at the exclusive Spanish Peaks Mountain Club and 4 lift tickets at Big Sky Resort for an additional day of skiing.
A one-night gourmet camping experience in a luxuriously renovated vintage Airstream Trailer set up in a secluded site on the Flathead River, complete with gourmet dinner basket.

All proceeds from both events benefit the Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation and the Ski Heritage Center Museum of Skiing.
