The Hockaday Museum of Art announces Members' Salon - An Annual Exhibition of Artist Member Works, the 15th event of its type at the Museum showcasing the diverse talents of its membership. Artists of all skill levels present one piece of their recent work, and the display hosts a broad variety of media. The exhibition begins November 3, 2016 and will be on display through January 14, 2017.

Voting in the Peoples' Choice Awards begins November 10, and everyone is invited to come in and vote for their favorite work. Each year, the Hockaday awards $250 to the First Place winner, $100 for Second, and $50 for Third Place honors. Many of the pieces are offered for sale with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Museum. The 2016 Salon will feature the works of over 80 Hockaday artist members.

The reception for the Members' Salon will be held concurrently with the opening for Karen Leigh's retrospective, Journey: A Painter's Life, on Thursday, November 10 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

The Hockaday Museum of Art is located in the cultural district of downtown Kalispell at 302 Second Ave East. It is housed in a 1904 Carnegie Library building that appears on the National Register of Historic Places. The Museum is a private nonprofit organization, open year-round, Tues-Sat from 10am-5pm.
