Flathead Basin Commission Meeting
  
Members of the Flathead Basin Commission (FBC) will hold a meeting on
November 14, 2012 from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Department of Natural
Resources and Conservation office, 655 Timberwolf Parkway, Kalispell, Montana.

During the morning, the meeting will be devoted to FBC administration, updates
from the FBC monitoring and transboundary committees, and a discussion of the
FBC legislative agenda for the upcoming 2013 legislative session, which will focus
primarily on Aquatic Invasive Species.

The afternoon portion of the meeting will feature presentations from
government, non-profit and industry sectors, as noted below:

BJ Grieve, Planning Director, Flathead County Planning & Zoning, will
provide an overview of the priority projects currently being undertaken by
the County.

Lex Blood, from the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem Education
Consortium (COCEEC) will summarize COCEEC’s mission, current efforts,
and discuss opportunities for coordinated education and outreach efforts.

Robin Kelson from Algea Aqua Culture Technology, will present on the
innovative Stoltz Greenhouse Project in Columbia Falls.

The Flathead Basin Commission was established by the Montana Legislature in
1983 to "monitor and protect" the water quality of the Flathead River drainage
system. All FBC meetings are open to the public.1
