Visitors are welcome to enjoy the 29 extraordinary images that are part of world-renowned wildlife photographer Donald M. Jones' Wild and Free: Photographs of North American Wildlife. From grizzly, brown and black bears to Dall sheep from Alaska, Don captures a variety of familiar animals at the most interesting times. Don's photos have been featured on the covers of over 750 magazines worldwide, and prints chosen exclusively for the Hockaday show are available for fixed price sale starting at $195.

Also on exhibit is the 2015 Winter Members' Salon that features over 100 participating artist members showing recent work. Many media types and styles are represented in the popular annual exhibit with the majority of pieces available for sale. The Hockaday receives a portion of the proceeds to support its exhibition and education programs. Visitors are encouraged to cast a vote for their favorite work in the annual People's Choice Awards.

Guests may also enjoy four Glacier National Park murals recovered and restored from 1950's lodge dining rooms. The Crown of the Continent exhibition in the west gallery shows favorite items from the Museum's permanent collection.

Holiday shoppers will appreciate the unique gift ideas presented by 20 juried Montana artists in the Museum's Gift Shop, as well as commemorative items from the Museum's past exhibitions. Hockaday members receive 10% off their entire gift shop purchase.

The Hockaday Museum of Art is located in the cultural district of downtown Kalispell at 302 Second Ave East. It is housed in a 1904 Carnegie Library building that appears on the National Register of Historic Places. The Museum is a private nonprofit organization, open year-round, Tues-Sat from 10am-5pm. The mission of the Hockaday is to enrich the cultural life of our community and region, and preserve the artistic legacy of Montana and Glacier National Park.
