Pie and Perennial Sale - Habitat for Humanity/Thrivent Builds Fundraiser

What: First Annual Pie and Perennial Sale
When: Saturday, May 17, 2008, 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
Where: Sponsored by Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, Columbia Falls, MT
Why: All funds raised will be donated to Habitat for Humanity/Thrivent Builds
Do you have an iris invasion? How about a rhubarb riot? Have your lilies gone loco or your bee balm berserk? Well, here is an idea for you! As you start your spring yard work and find that you are overwhelmed by how your perennial plants have spread, consider digging some to set aside as a donation for the perennial plant sale. Also, if you happen to have more seedlings than you need for your garden this year, consider bringing them to the sale as well.
While you are here, come on in and enjoy a piece of fresh pie with ice cream, breakfast quiche, or pastry, along with a hot cup of tasty coffee or tea. Pie by the slice, as well as whole pies will be available for sale.
In addition, and in support of this effort, there will be several interesting raffle items donated by our community businesses, including a fresh pie and gourmet coffee basket. This sale will be open to all in the community, so pass the message on to your friends and neighbors!
Drop off times for your plants are Friday, May 16, noon until 7:00 p.m.; and Saturday, May 17, 6:30 until 8:00 a.m., just prior to the sale. If you need to make other drop-off arrangements, just give us a call. Plant items should include a label with a name of the type or species (craft sticks work great!).
