Flathead High School students invite the public to attend a dedication

ceremony for their new Peace Garden from 1:40-2:20pm on Thursday, May 22.

A special guest at the ceremony will be Greg Mortenson, founder of the

Central Asia Institute and author of the acclaimed best-selling book Three Cups of Tea. Mortenson, a Himalayan mountaineer who now lives in Bozeman, Montana, will speak about his project which builds and supports schools inremote and impoverished areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan.

The high school students will describe the process of the garden’s creation and it’s purpose through poems and readings, and the choir will sing.  In case of rain, this inspirational and free 40-minute ceremony will be presented inside the beautiful new Flathead High School commons.
