Playwright Charles L. Mee confronts the nature of love and equality in this philosophical comedy with a decidedly physical edge. A contemporary adaptation of Aeschylus' The Suppliant Women, Big Love pits men against women in a wild romp where animal instincts come face-to-face with society's strict demand for marital order.
FVCC Theatre prepares to open it's second summer season with the thought provoking new play “Big Love”. No it's not the HBO series, but a dark comedy sure to take you on a wild journey to find true love. After days of travel to escape an arranged marriage, Lydia and her 49 sisters find safety at beach side hotel, or so they think. Just when the girls think they might have found refuge, a very angry 50 grooms arrive to take what is "rightfully" theirs. Promises are made, join us to see who lives through the night!
