The Hiding Place
7:30 PM The Little Yak Playhouse
Description:
Tickets: $5
The time is 1940, the place is Holland, and the event is the invasion of the Netherlands by the Third Reich. There is panic in the streets. Ordinary citizens are being rounded up for the prison camps, especially Jews. And in one small town in Holland, in one small, rather ordinary clock shop, lived 3 very ordinary people who would become a part of a most extraordinary story.
THE HIDING PLACE is the story of the ten Boom family, as told by Corrie ten Boom. The ten Boom family had lived for a century in the funny old house called the Beje , with very little of world shaking consequences happening to them. Until the war came, and with it, a specific need that they could meet. There were persecuted people needing a place to stay, and the Beje became that place.
