Encaustic and Mixed Media with guest artist Shawna Moore
SATURDAY, MARCH 20th (and SUNDAY, MARCH 21st: 9:30 AM– 4:30 PM *This Workshop will be held offsite at Shawna’s Working Studio
Spend the day in Shawna’s studio creating beautiful painting out of beeswax and pigment sticks. Highlights, patterns and landscapes will be created using high quality oil paints in thin layers between the wax. Encaustic paining involves applying layers of wax which is then fused together with heat. Hands-on exploration will be stressed with a brief overview of material and techniques. BYO snacks and beverages. All other supplies and tools are included.
