Exploring Wetlands

Description:
Montana Project WET and Project Webfoot are hosting an Exploring Wetlands Workshop on Saturday, April 19. The one-day, interdisciplinary workshop for K-12 formal and non-formal educators will be held in the Community Room at Lone Pine State Park Visitor Center in Kalispell from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Exploring Wetlands is intended to increase the local wetlands knowledge of teachers and to help them connect science concepts across the curriculum, such as: Wetland function, waterbirds, waterfowl, wetland soils, wetland animals, wetland plants and wetland conservation. The workshop will include indoor and outdoor components, interactive as well as interdisciplinary activities and guest speakers. Office of Public Instruction (OPI) credit is available.
