The Hockaday
Museum of Art’s 7th Annual
Hockaday Benefit Auction: miniatures & more, which includes an array of
paintings, ceramics, sculpture and glass artworks 9 x 12 inches or smaller by
more than 60 of the finest artists from around the Northwest, will be held on
Friday, April 4 at the Hilton Garden Inn-Kalispell.
This year’s juried
fine art exhibition and auction also features the popular postcard-sized works
and small pottery pieces sold by the artists as a 100% donation to the Museum. Take advantage of the opportunity to purchase
original works of art by Bye Bitney, Nancy Dunlop Cawdrey, Brent Cotton, Monte
Dolack, Donna Gans, Frank Hagel, Rocky Hawkins, Jennifer Li, Marshall Noice, Mark
Ogle, David Secrest, Eric Thorsen, Linda Tippetts, Jeff Walker, Rusty Warner and
many more. The
auction will no doubt be the most fun you’ll have buying art this year!
An
exciting, fast-paced evening of gourmet food, cocktails and music sets the
stage for this annual sell-out event. The
evening begins at 5 p.m. when bidding begins for the silent auction. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and no host drink bars, with music provided by Marcia Siblerud on piano; followed by a dinner especially
designed by the Hilton’s renowned chef Brandt Evans, at 6 p.m. Diane Dickerson will entertain on harp. The
silent auction turns live at 8:00 p.m.
All auction lots close at 10:00 p.m.
Then, it will be time to enjoy the Music of Montana Midnight Quartet,
with dessert buffet, coffee and cordials. Auction items will be exhibited from March 18
to April 3 during regular Museum hours and an online artwork preview will be available March 20.
Tickets to the auction can be
purchased in advance for $45 per person for museum members and $55 for
non-members. All tickets at the door (if
available) $65. Reserved tables of eight are available for $360. Don’t forget to purchase “Split the Pot”
