3rd Annual Pond Skimming
1:00 PM  Whitefish Mountain Resort
Description:
The competition is open to all competitors 21yrs and older. The pond
skimming celebrates the wacky feeling of spring and the end of the ski
season. Participants must have skis or snowboards appropriately worn
(normally mounted) as they attempt to cross an 80+ foot pond. Costumes
are recommended and will be judged in a category of its own. Skimming
will be an individual competition based on longest skim ($Big Money for
first place, skis and boards for 2nd place skier and snowboarder, gear
for 3 through 5th place skimmers and for best costume, and a one hour
massage for best crash). Participants will advance to the next round
after a successful skim at various distances.
REGISTRATION:
Participants should pre-register at least one day prior to event. The
event is limited to 60 participants. Information center 8am-5pm daily.
Participants should check in at by 1pm, and show up at top of start 45
minutes before event starts.
FEES:
$25.00 per person, $30 day of and only if availability still there (60 max).

2:30pm Start
Awards 30 minutes after final skim
AWARDS:
To be held at the pond 30 minutes after last skim.
Awards for best costume, crash and length of skim.
Volunteers: 4 needed � call ahead. 1:00 meet at pond
