World Prayer Day

Description:
World Day of Prayer is a worldwide ecumenical movement of women of many faith traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer each year on the first Friday in March. Each year a different country services as the writer of the World Day of Prayer worship service. For 2008, the WDP Committee of Guyana developed the theme, God’s Wisdom Provides New Understanding.
World Day of Prayer will be celebrated in Whitefish on Friday, March 7th at the Nazarene Church, 1125 Seventh Street East. A special prayer service will be held from 1:00-2:00pm to pray for the world and our community.
The Nazarene Church sanctuary will be open all day for a special event and silent prayer time. Cultural displays from around the world will be set up for a visual experience for all ages. Individuals and families are invited to visit and learn more about the needs around the world and how we can pray for others and world concerns..
