Linda Tippetts is one of Montana's best known plein aire painters and the recipient of numerous awards, including the 1992 National Arts for the Parks Academy Grand Prize (50,000 dollars). Tippetts’ work is held in permanent museum collections in Arizona, Montana, and Washington, D.C.
