Description:
Whitefish Theatre Co. Presents Distracted by Lisa Loomer
On Sunday, February 7 and Monday, February 8 at 7:30pm the Whitefish Theatre Co. will present its second Black Curtain Staged Reading of the 2009-2010 Season: DISTRACTED by Lisa Loomer.
This modern play delves into the issue of Attention Deficit Disorder and its treatment. Jesse is eight and easily distracted. But so are his mother and father. So are the neighbors! And the doctors! In their fractured, fast paced, overly wired lives the consequence is almost … inevitable. Or is it? Has Jesse been correctly diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder? Is it caused by over stimulation? Bad parenting? Too many chemicals in the food? Too many poisons in the environment? Or is Jesse just a kid in an ADD world?
DISTRACTED explores this wild ride with offbeat humor, searing honesty and a provocative style.
Director for this Black Curtain production is Guest Director Jesse Culp who directed December’s production of THE WIZARD OF OZ. Cast members include Corey Burke, Lori Collins, Gayle Hernandez, Tony Hernandez, Sarah Jerger, Nina Levitt, Amy McAntee, and Katie Nixon.
Tickets are $8 and are sold only at the door. For more information on this and other upcoming WTC events, call 862-5371 or visit www.whitefishtheatreco.org.
