Birding in Glacier National Park
7:00 AM West Glacier Post Office
Description:
Spend a pleasant morning with Flathead Audubon on Saturday, June 28, in one of the birdiest spots in Glacier National Park—the Inside North Fork Road. Habitat from lush riparian areas to dense forest can be found here and a fabulous variety of birds may be seen as well. Birders will take several short hikes on which they may see Olive-sided Flycatchers, Black-backed Woodpeckers and Spruce Grouse.
Participants will meet at the West Glacier Post Office at 7 a.m. Bring binoculars. For more information or to sign up for the trip, please call Bruce Tannehill and Gail Cleveland at 862-4548. Note that a Glacier National Park entrance fee or a park pass is required. Everyone is welcome.
