Antique Quilt Show
Presented by the Hockaday Museum of Art at the Museum at Central School
September 15 – October 15
The Hockaday Museum of Art and the Museum at Central School are teaming up to present a collection of antique quilts, assembled by Jim and Kate Carroll of Anaconda, Montana. The antique quilts will be displayed throughout the Museum at Central School which is located at 124 Second Avenue East, Kalispell. The Carrolls have been dealers of antique American quilts and textiles for more than thirty years. The traveling exhibit consists of sixteen quilts and coverlets, each with a very human story to tell. The exhibition was designed to welcome questions from viewers – and to inspire new quilters to try their hand at this “rewarding and fun ancient craft form.” The show is sponsored by the Museum and Gallery Directors Association (MAGDA) of Montana.
