Description:
2024 was truly the year of natural phenomena! From worlds lowest, driest desert basin in Death Valley transforming into a rare lake, a total eclipse of the sun, breathtaking northern lights displays, to the glory rings of the spectre of the brocken, fata morganas creating optical illusions above the cloud tops and atmospheric rivers of moisture creating gigantic waves, it was a year like no other and serves as the theme for Chuck's photography show.
The past year also included Chuck's numerous trips across the U.S. Incredible landscape light in National Parks along with many birding and wildlife captures at remote refuges. A lengthy 6-week trip to Europe yielded another set of select images from both Ireland and Portugal.
Other segments of this show edition will include some of Chucks favorite people pictures taken over the course of a 30 year career. While mostly known for his scenic landscapes, Chuck has also had a career full of photographing all forms of outdoor sports and lifestyle. His bicycling, paddling and skiing images were widely published in Americas leading magazines. Growing up on a family farm translated into numerous assignment jobs with leading agriculture publications capturing portraits of ranchers and farmers across Montana and the U.S.
The third segment will contain a set of more artistic images that emphasize shape, form and unique lighting elements of natural features. Abstract captures unto themselves.
Hear Chuck's tall tales of his travels accompanied by a tasty set of background music. A cash donation to the local North Valley Food Bank and Whitefish Theatre Company is the price of admission. Drinks will be available for purchase at the front entrance.
