Wilderness Speaker Series: Description:
The annual Wilderness Speaker Series brings timely and interesting wilderness topics to the public to raise awareness and inspire community discussion, held in the Large Community Room (#139) in FVCC’s Art and Technology Building from 7:00-8:15 PM on February 10th, March 10th, and April 14th. The events are free of charge, and all are invited to come learn more about timely and relevant wilderness topics for our community.

The series will kick off on Tuesday, February 10th with Rachel Schmidt of American Rivers as the featured speaker. Schmidt works with broad stakeholders, government agencies and Tribal Nations to expand river restoration efforts in Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. She will discuss the history and significance of Wild and Scenic rivers to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act in 2026.
