Wine 101: Wine History
3:00 PM
Tailing Loop Winery
Ever wondered what the difference is between a Merlot and a Malbec? Or what it means when a wine is "Old World" versus "New World?" And does that pompous jerk really smell hints of raspberry in that Pinot? The Wine 101 Series aims to answer questions such as these, and more. Expand your wine knowledge in a laid back, hands on setting. Participants will be given access to custom instructional materials, exclusive wine sampling and food pairings, and enjoy a satisfying dinner at the conclusion of each course. There will be five individual Wine 101 Sessions, each with their own unique theme. Each class will be held the 3rd Saturday of the month from 3-6pm. The cost per section will be $50 per person, with Tasting Room Members cashing in a 10% discount. Register for all 5 Sessions and receive a FREE bottle of wine, your choice. The Basics: January 18th Wine History: February 15th Aromas & Flavors: March 21st Pairing with Food: April 18th The Gauntlet (Identifying Wines Like a Sommelier): May 16th
