Flathead Valley Community College Arts & Technology Building
Wilderness Speaker Series: Three Forks of the Flathead Description:
The annual Wilderness Speaker Series brings timely and interesting wilderness topics to the public to raise awareness and inspire community discussion, held in the Large Community Room (#139) in FVCC’s Art and Technology Building from 7:00-8:15 PM on February 10th, March 10th, and April 14th. The events are free of charge, and all are invited to come learn more about timely and relevant wilderness topics for our community.

On Tuesday, March 10th, speakers Leo Rosenthal of Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, and Sheena Pate, Executive Director of Flathead Rivers Alliance, will team up to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act in 2026. Their talk will explore the science, stewardship, and stories shaping the Flathead River system. Rosenthal will share insights into native trout trends and watershed monitoring across the Three Forks, followed by Pate highlighting collaborative conservation efforts and current threats.
