Emergency Medical skills for severe bleeding, gunshot wounds, respiratory blockages.
LIFESAVER introduces the basics of emergency trauma care for severe wounds, respiratory blockages and other conditions that require immediate medical intervention in order to save the patient’s life. This course will cover the application of a tourniquet to the arm and leg, techniques for controlling hemorrhages, introduce appropriate airway control techniques and devices, demonstrate the correct application of a topical hemostatic dressing (combat gauze), and teach the main indicators of shock. This course is taught by Tim Johnson of PDS Systems. Tim is a Marine and worked as a contractor medic overseas. This course will teach you how to perform advanced first aid, while avoiding becoming a victim yourself.
