Bob Brown, Half a Century in Politics
4:00 PM
Northwest Montana History Museum
Bob Brown, Half a Century in Politics Description:
For 18 consecutive years, the John White Speaker Series has been a popular annual tradition at the Northwest Montana Historical Society, bringing experts in their respective fields to the Museum and rousing all of us from our mid-winter hibernation for an afternoon of fellowship. Although the 2021 John White Series was first offered in a digital format this winter, the Museum is happy to be able to re-release the Series in April at the Museum.

Each of these pre-recorded presentations will be airing on Wednesdays at 4 pm, and all are roughly one hour long. Admission to the event will be free, although donations will be accepted, and beer and wine will be available during the event.

It is certainly an achievement to dedicate decade after decade of one’s life to public service. With nearly Half a Century in Politics, no one knows this better than Bob Brown. Bob will sit down with Museum Director Jacob Thomas, and together they will discuss Bob’s career in the Montana State Legislature: the hard-fought triumphs, the agony of defeat, stunning successes and narrow misses, and the rewarding joys that came from representing Northwest Montana.

TO ADDRESS COVID 19 - We are taking several precautions to make sure that a Museum visit during these uncertain times will not adversely effect the health of our visitors:
All public fixtures in the Museum (hand rails, door knobs, bathroom components, interactive exhibits) will be regularly and repeatedly sanitized on a daily basis
Facemasks are highly encouraged when social-distancing is not possible.
To further promote social-distancing, seats in the Swanburg Classroom will be spaced apart at six foot intervals.

Of course, everyone is always welcome at the Northwest Montana History Museum. However, if you have a cough, a fever, or are just feeling under the weather, we kindly ask that you visit us some other time; not only for your own health, but for the well-being of our staff and other supporters
