Description:
Come take a hike under the Pink Moon! This month is the time for blooming flowers and migrating birds. The moon gets its name from the pink flowers that emerge from the ground as one of the first signs that spring has arrived. This month’s moon is also a supermoon which is said to shine bigger and brighter than normal full moons. During this ranger led hike, we will explore how the pink moon got its name and what it means when a super moon is rising in the night sky.
We will meet at the visitor center to start out this hike. Please wear good hiking shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Bring water and a snack if you need one!
*Call the visitor center at (406) 755-2706 ext. 0 to register, as space is limited.
**Cost is free for 12 & under and 13 & older are $4.00/person
