Celebrate the opening of a new community makerspace, The Making Place! Preview their new space, enjoy live music, try local food & wine, and participate in fun creative activities!

In the Uptown Hearth Cafe, enjoy live music featuring Ben Darce (4–6 PM) and Gabe Layton (6–8 PM) while savoring delicious small plates from Uptown Hearth and indulge in wine from White Raven or local beers. Stop by our Membership Drive table to sign up, learn about upcoming events, and snag TMP merch, with exciting raffle prizes available! You can even get a live illustration done by local artist Elaine Atkinson.

On the third floor you will get a taste of what we offer at The Making Place with lots of exciting creative activites; featuring a mini Maker’s Market, meet and greet with our studio artists Justin FDES: functional design and Sydney Boveng, and hands-on activities like screen printing, letterpress art, as well as painting and knot-tying demos. Plus, explore our Tool Library and contribute to the growth of TMP!
