Presenter: Joe Schmier, Senior Director of Human Resources, North Valley Hospital. Joe retired from the U.S. Air Force, after spending most of his 24-year career overseas in all the hotspots. Upon retiring, Joe took advantage of his knack for managing people to enter the world of Human Resources. His 22 years of experience in human resources includes overseeing human resource departments in Florida, Missouri, Kansas, Washington and Montana. He has worked in not-for-profit and for-profit companies.

Joe firmly believes that companies must be open and transparent and treat their employees with dignity, respect, and fairness. He believes when a company takes care of its employees when times are good, the employees will take care of the company when times are bad.
