Carnivore Stories Guided Education Hike Description:
June 17, 2023: During this one-day course, we will discuss in detail the carnivores of Glacier National Park, with emphasis on life histories, habitat requirements, distribution, and predator-prey relationships. The importance and uniqueness of the North Fork Valley of the Flathead River ecosystem, and the return of wolves to the park will be discussed as well. We will spend most of our day driving and hiking in the North Fork Valley. We will also include talks on how the flora, geology, birds, and North Fork cultural and fire histories affect predator habitat. 7am-4pm
