Lone Pine Lookout Lecture Series with Ranger Julia Description:
Have you ever wondered what that bright, colorful flower popping up from the trail could be? Join us for round three of the Lone Pine Look Out Speaker Series as Ranger Julia helps us identify all of the wildflowers that grow here at Lone Pine State Park and around the Flathead Valley. We will explore how these different flowers grow and how you can identify them as you take a hike through the beautiful trails of the Flathead Valley.
Julia Smit is the park ranger for the Lone Pine district. She has worked in Glacier and at Lewis and Clark Caverns State Park. She loves bats, plants and everything that makes peoples say ‘ew, gross’ in nature.
Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, or feel free to take a seat in the open field for this program. Dress for the weather and bring some water or a snack if you need one!
*Call the visitor center at (406) 755-2706 ext. 0 to register, as space is limited.
