Summer Junior Ranger Days: Pollinators of Lone Pine
10:00 AM
Lone Pine State Park
Summer Junior Ranger Days: Pollinators of Lone Pine Description:
The bees are buzzing, and the butterflies are flapping their wings in search of their next meal on a yummy flower. Join Ranger Kearstyn and Ranger Sarah as we take a look at what exactly pollinators do for us and for our natural resources. We will be exploring our native plant garden and the different plants around the park to see what insects are hanging out and pollinating our plants. We will also be taking a look at how to help our pollinators thrive even further by building our own ‘insect hotels’ so our pollinator friends can live safely to eat their next meal of nectar and pollen.
Bring good shoes for hiking and dress for the weather. Bring plenty of water and a snack if you need one!
*Registration is required and can be done by calling (406) 755-2706 ext. 0.
**Cost is FREE ($8 park entry fee still applies for non-residents)
