Lone Pine History Hike
1:00 PM
Lone Pine State Park
Lone Pine History Hike Description:
Northwest Montana has gone through many stages in development over the years. The Flathead Valley was formed by a massive glacial event that happened when barely any people roamed this land. The First Peoples of this area have traveled and used the resources of Northwest Montana for thousands of years. Settlers established colonies along the fertile bodies of water where industries like mining and logging thrived. Join us for this ranger led hike as we explore the history of Lone Pine and the Flathead Valley while we traverse land that was explored by many people years ago.
Bring good shoes for hiking and dress for the weather. Bring lots of water and a snack if you need one!
*Registration is required and can be done by calling (406) 755-2706 ext. 0.
**Cost is FREE ($8 park entry fee still applies for non-residents)
