Join others for the presentation of the Statue of Liberty at the Whitefish Community Center on Thursday, July 31 at 1:00 pm. Come and learn about the history of America's symbol of freedom, inspiration and hope. Former science teacher, Linda Smith, will bring her knowledge and expertise to guide you through the proposal of the idea by Frenchman Edouard Laboulaye in 1865 to the dedication of the statue in 1886.
