Bluebird Lake Hike
8:00 AM
Bluebird Lake hike
Description:
The hike climbs steadily up the Bluebird Creek drainage through the forest with some avalanche chutes, easy creek crossings, and scenic openings. It opens up to more wildflower meadows along a ridge leading to the lake. The lake is at the base of a limestone cliff formation with open forest and meadows along the shore. There are several picnic spots for relaxing. The lake offers great fishing for pan sized cutthroat trout.

**Meeting time and location will be provided once you sign up.**

This hike is FREE and open to the public, but pre-registration is required. Please bring good hiking shoes, food, water, and clothing adequate to be outside for the weather. Montana Wilderness Association hikes are led by volunteers. Hike leaders will be in touch with the hike group within the week before the hike to finalize details and logistics. Please inform your hike leader if you cannot attend. Children with genuine interest and the ability to hike the full distance are welcome if accompanied by an adult.
