The Columbia Falls Area Chamber’s August 2018 Economic Development meeting will be led by our local Drug Task Force Steering Committee. They will discuss their work in our local community.

Within the Flathead we have two drug task forces. One being Flathead and the other the North West Montana. The two both work to eliminate or respond to the drug issues of the Flathead Valley but the difference is that one is more focused on law enforcement and under cover operations and the other is
looking at civil society and programs that can both respond and prevent drug use. The task force has a membership of about 90 people who represent KRMC, NVRMC, District Court, District Attorney office, JPO, CPS, & Schools . This group has done extensive work and research on the drug problems facing our communities.
