Movie Night at the Museum: Classic war comedy Catch-22 Description:
The Northwest Montana History Museum is happy to announce the next Movie Night at the Museum on Tuesday, September 28, with the 1970 classic black comedy Catch-22!

Captain John Yossarian (Alan Arkin) would have to be crazy to fly an unthinkable EIGHTY missions under the command of Colonel Cathcart, and if he were crazy he would be unfit to fly. But if Yossarian understandably refused, it would indicate that he was sane, meaning that he would be fit to fly after all. A classic Catch-22.

In it's time, Catch-22 was neither a commercial nor critical success. That must have come as a surprise to previous Tony and Academy Award winning director Mike Nichols. It is even more difficult to fathom after a look at the stellar cast, one of the deepest ensembles in film history. In alphabetical order, the cast included Alan Arkin, Bob Balaban, Art Garfunkel, Charles Grodin, Bob Newhart, Anthony Perkins, Paula Prentiss, Martin Sheen, Jon Voight, and Orson Welles.

Catch-22 is rated R for nudity, language, and violence.

Of course, everyone is always welcome at the Northwest Montana History Museum. However, if you have a cough, a fever, or are just feeling under the weather, we kindly ask that you visit us some other time; not only for your own health, but for the well-being of our staff and other supporters.

There is no charge for the film, and donations will be accepted to help defray the cost of showing the films. The movie and popcorn are free; wine, beer, pop and water will be for sale. Seating is provided, but film fans can bring their own floor pillows, portable chairs, or whatever is comfortable for viewing the film.
